Energy-efficient Mobility Systems

McLaughlin Hall UCB

The Research Center is established at UC Berkeley Institute for Transportation Studies as a part of inter-disciplinary effort to advance quantitative modeling of urban systems. This Center will focus on energy-efficient transportation. We will work on mathematical models and data analytics with approaches ranging from behavioral studies to control theory.

FAQ

We are an academic research center of UC Berkeley, affiliated with the Institute of Transportation Studies
We do. Industry collects vast amounts of data while operating urban infrastructures. These data can and should be turned into useful models and services. Examples of our work are here.
Of course. It is our primary mission too to improve mobility in a sustainable and energy-efficient way.

That’s great! We are working with several start-ups. There is a well established technology transfer pathway at ITS.
